Holiday Season

Dear Fellow Friends,
Considering that the holidays are right around the corner. I figured that in this blog post I would talk about some holiday traditions. Some holiday traditions that we have are the night before Christmas my entire family gathers around the fire in our Christmas pajamas drinking hot cocoa. My mom would read to us The Night Before Christmas. Also on Christmas Eve my parents let us open one Christmas present. Those are some traditions that my family has on Christmas Eve.

Some traditions that we have on Christmas Day are my siblings and I go downstairs and see who can open their best presents to the least liked. The best part about that tradition is that no one can cheat. So every year we never know who will win. Also another tradition is that my siblings and I go outside and we all have a race to see you can build the fastest igloo. Another tradition that we have is that we all stay in our pajamas all day until our family comes. We also watch The Christmas Day Parade on the television. Those are some traditions my family has on Christmas Day.

Some traditions that my family has before Christmas but in the Christmas season is we go ice skating every year. Until last year when I broke my leg ice skating. We still go but my mom skeptical about it. We also get our own mini gingerbread houses and see who can decorate theirs the best. My mom and I every year make a bunch of Christmas cookies in Christmas shapes. On Black Friday my mom and my older sister and my poppy go out Black Friday shopping and we stay home and play out in the snow with my dad and have really cool snowball fights. A little after Thanksgiving we go cut down our Christmas tree. This year my mom was kind enough to let my brother and I get our own Charlie Brown Christmas tree.

Those are some great family traditions that my family has done for many years and hopefully many more. Those are also traditions that my family does throught out the holiday season.

Hello Blogisphere!

I plan to write about all my adventures that I have. I also plan to write my perspective on my adventures. Like how I liked it and what I recommend if someone is going maybe to another state that I've been to. My goal is to try to blog at least once a week. My blog and my blog post are going to be completely anonymous. In doing this blog I hope to evolve as a writer.
I will be writing about all my experiences in life that could help others. I am a runner so I will be writing about my adventures as a runner too!

The Giver from my View

The Giver from My View

I thought The Giver was a very well written book and Lois Lowry did an amazing job in capturing the life of a dystopian society. I loved the book. I felt like I was there in the book and the cliff hangers got me on the edge of my seat. The plot twist in this book caught me by surprise. It felt like every page I turned there was something new to read about. I definitely going to be reading this book again.
From my view I thought that a dystopian society actually existed because of how specific the details were and how real they felt. I felt like I was in the book and that I was becoming a dystopian protagonist. I give a lot of credit to Lois Lowry for writing such a realistic book and it was very well thought out. I recommend The Giver to anyone who loves reading science-fiction and someone who definitely loves cliffhangers and plot twist.
The Giver kind of made me sad the way they released little newborn children because of their size. It also made me sad that the people who got released didn't really know what it was. I thought it was terrible how they released people if they broke three rules. It's technically murder because sometimes the people have no say and the injection kills them.
In conclusion I loved the book overall. I just didn't agree with everything in the book. I do recommend people to read. That's my opinion on The Giver.
